Reading Francesca Woodman Oct 2023

Got a great book recently and reading it.I've always been a fan of Francesca Woodman's work but was moved upon reading of her suicide in 1981 at he age of 22 after jumping off a building rook in New York. Her last note to a friend went.

"My life at this point is like very old coffee cup sediment and I would rather die young, leaving various accomplishments - instead of pell-mell erasing all of these delicate things."

What a talented photographer. She will be missed.
